The thesis is carried out in a laboratory affiliated with ED 548 which provides the doctoral student with the means necessary for its completion.
It is supervised by a teacher-researcher accredited to supervise research, or jointly supervised by two teacher-researchers accredited to supervise research. There cannot be more than 2 supervisors (decree of May 25, 2016, art. 17).
In addition, a thesis can be co-supervised by a teacher-researcher not owning the HDR (accreditation to supervise research).
A maximum supervision charge is defined for each teacher-researcher. It is 200 % for an HDR and 100 % for a non HDR.
